Afforestation Project in Kanchipuram – Part 2

The Kunnam afforestation project is located in the Kanchipuram district, a renowned temple town in South India. The region is well-equipped with diverse ecological features such as forests, the Palar River, and countless lakes & ponds. This attracted several inhabitants to the region, and in no time, several industries and residential complexes were established.

This had resulted in a major loss in the natural environment, especially the green cover of Kanchipuram. In an effort to mitigate this problem, the afforestation project along with support from Grundfos India was launched.
