Lakes, wetlands, forests, beaches, rivers and urban green spaces form a connected ecological network that supports biodiversity, stores water and helps the city withstand environmental challenges. Protecting and restoring these blue and green spaces is essential to building a healthier, more resilient and sustainable Chennai for the future.
