E.F.I., in collaboration with Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, has been undertaking real-time, result-oriented, science-based conservation initiatives for India and Her Environment for several years. Every ecological restoration effort at E.F.I. is guided by science, strengthened through the collective efforts of government, local communities, funding partners and volunteers, and measured by its long-term ecological and social impact. Our commitment extends far beyond the completion of restoration works. Whether it is the rejuvenation of a freshwater ecosystem or the creation of an urban forest, E.F.I. remains committed to supporting the restored ecosystem through long-term monitoring, ecological stewardship, and community participation to ensure its sustained health, resilience, and biodiversity.
The Independent Impact Assessment Report, prepared by KPMG India for Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, evaluates E.F.I.’s multistate lake restoration initiative implemented across Surat, Ahmedabad, Agra, Indore, Vijayawada, and Madurai. Conducted using the internationally recognized OECD-DAC Evaluation Framework, the assessment examines the project’s relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact, and sustainability. The findings serve as an independent validation of E.F.I.’s conservation approach, demonstrating that real-time, result-oriented, science-based ecological restoration, driven through collaborative partnerships and sustained stewardship, delivers measurable and lasting environmental and social impact.
