Located amidst farm lands, the Kanadia Lake plays an important role in serving as a water source for this village in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. With a road on its east side, and irrigation lands around it, the lake soon began to deteriorate as it was left unmaintained and abused. Dumping of solid waste and growth of invasive weeds choked the lake and its life.
With administrative support from the Government of Madhya Pradesh, and funding support from DXC Technology, we at E.F.I took on the task of restoring the Kanadia Lake! Take a look at all that happened during its restoration!
We thank all the volunteers and local residents who supported us in restoring the Kanadia Lake!
