इंदौर का अहिल्या वंश | E.F.I.’s Afforestation efforts in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Ahilya Van is an urban afforestation initiative by E.F.I, in collaboration with the Indore Municipal Corporation, volunteer and corporate partners. This initiative aims to convert degraded, garbage filled lands into lush green spaces which improve carbon capture, groundwater recharge and local biodiversity, acting as Indore’s “Green Lungs“. Named in honor of Ahilyabai Holkar, the 18th-century queen and warrior, Ahilya Van is a tribute to her legacy of growth and resilience. Native trees such as neem, mahogany, peepal, jamun, kadamba, tabubia, siras, jackfruit, champa and mohani are planted at Ahilya Van sites to enhance local flora and fauna, turning these spaces into thriving ecosystems.
