The Pallavaram bridge in the Ponds Company Signal is a Rail-over bridge with a Roundabout on the NH45 G.S.T road that came into people’s use in the year 2000. Though this bridge has been serving its purpose for the last 23 years, the outer wall of the bridge has become an unpleasant sight. These walls were subjected to constant abuse which not only made it an unpleasant sight but also an unpleasant odour.
Before:

The Environmentalist Foundation of India with the support of Tambaram City Municipal Corporation under the Administration of Chengalpattu Collectorate launched the Wall-E project in which environmental awareness wall painting was done on these bridge walls. This Awareness wall painting initiative focuses on showcasing the Wild and Marine life of India. Starting from the Indian Giant Squirrel and Pondicherry Fan-throated lizard to the Olive Ridley Sea Turtle and Whale Shark, the varied rich biodiversity of India was painted.
After:

E.F.I thank Tambaram City Municipal Corporation and the Chengalpattu District Administration for their support.
