The district that is renowned for its abundance of natural resources, Chengalpet was once adorned with picturesque lakes, and ponds, lush green forests, with wildlife roaming freely. But as the nation began to move towards becoming developed and modern, the focus was shifted away from these natural gems, and towards industrialization and urbanization.

In an effort to revive the lost “green scene” of Chengalpet, E.F.I with support from the District Administration and EFL took on the task of establishing an afforestation site called “Solai Vanam”. Take a look at all that happened in this effort!
