One of the largest water bodies in the region, the Kaliyaperumal Kuttai lies adjacent to a major district road. The lake naturally attracts several lifeforms as the passerby can easily spot countless birds flocking around the water body. Over the years owing to no proper maintenance and sheer neglect, the water body was abused and exploited. Construction and domestic waste were dumped directly into it, the lake had become a site for social activities, and uncontrolled growth of invasive weeds such as Prosopis juliflora had taken over the water body.
To revive the Kaliyaperumal Kuttai to its natural state, E.F.I along with the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation and HDB Financial Services Ltd had taken on the task of restoring the water body. Take a look at all that had happened during this restoration!

E.F.I thanks all the volunteers and local residents who supported us in this effort!
