The Madambakkam Lake located in Southern Chennai when taken up for an eco-restoration was a hidden water paradise that was dying by the day. Prior to restoration, the lake now has new innovations that have been implemented in it to preserve and protect it, and there has been a significant increase in the water holding capacity as well!
A collaborative effort between PWD, government of Tamil Nadu, Sun TV Foundation and Rotary Club of Madras has facilitated E.F.I in reviving the lake of serenity. Take a look at this detailed report of all that happened in this eco-restoration.
Check out what the local residents had to say about this eco-restoration!
We thank all those who supported us in conserving and protecting this water body!
