పర్యావరణ సమాజ-ఆధారిత సరస్సు పునరుద్ధరణ యొక్క కథ.

పెడ్డా చెరువు ఈ రోజు మనం చూసే ఇతర సరస్సుల నుండి భిన్నంగా లేదు. పట్టణ విస్తరణ కారణంగా చెత్త మరియు దురాక్రమణ కలుపు మొక్కలతో నిండిన కలుషితమైన సరస్సు పరిమాణం తగ్గిపోతుంది.

The Pedda Cheruvu is no different from other lakes that we see today. A polluted lake, filled with garbage and invasive weeds, shrunken in size due to urban expansion.

Thanks to the collaborative conservation effort between the Government of Andhra Pradesh-Krishna District Administration, IndusInd Bank part of the Hinduja Foundation, and E.F.I, the lake is now thriving with water up to the brim!

Garbage removal, clearing of weeds, deepening the water body to increase its storage capacity, strengthening the outer embankments, fencing, and plantation were carried out in this conservation effort.
