Polachery, a small little town located South of Chennai, has several water bodies that make it a unique landscape. The Gangaiamman Temple Pond is one among these water bodies. Situated adjacent to the town road, sheer negligence had destroyed the pond’s structure, paving way for solid waste, and invasive weeds to grow.

In a collaborative effort between the Chengalpet District Collectorate, Aspire Systems, and E.F.I, the Gangaiamman Pond was taken up for restoration. Take a look at all that happened during this restoration!
