Ramachandra Nagar located in North West Chennai is a densely populated suburb of Chennai city. Due to rapid urbanization most water bodies in the vicinity have turned into cesspools/dumpsites.

Through a collaborative conservation effort, EFI Chennai Suburban took on the task of scientific, eco-restoration of the water body. The deepened, bund strengthened, water percolating habitat is today back to its original pristine conditions. We thank the Greater Chennai Corporation management for all administrative support.
