The 2015 floods was an eye opener to the glaring truth that we have been encroaching our waterbodies and disaster was waiting to happen. EFI has been volunteering with an aim to restore the suburban lakes-ponds in Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Trivandrum, Pondicherry. There is scope for restoring and reviving these neglected waterbodies if the community comes together for the common cause. Proof of same can be seen here…

I live in Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore. Our township is flanked by two large and beautiful lakes. 1 week from now, there will be all POP Ganesha idols apart from the industrial waste. .. it is so saddening ..help!
As most of these large scale immersions have a political backing, there is very little we have been able to do mam 🙁 we are trying hard though.
